Supporting Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund
Since 2021, The Brewery in Romford has proudly supported the Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund (Lennox CCF). This September, for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, The Brewery is stepping up its efforts to raise awareness and funds for Lennox CCF.
On Monday 2nd September, Lennox hosted a lively event at The Brewery, featuring games, a lucky dip, a “Win a Bear” contest, and the “Build a Backpack” challenge. For over 30 years, Lennox has been supporting families facing childhood cancer with both financial and emotional assistance. Their services include funding respite breaks and providing Lennox Backpacks, filled with essentials like socks, toothbrushes, and notepads, to help families during overnight hospital stays.
Additionally, The Brewery has launched a touching initiative where people of all ages can write letters to children undergoing cancer treatment. Whether it’s a note of encouragement, a poem, a drawing, or kind words, participants are encouraged to drop their letters into the bright yellow post box located between Sainsbury’s and Nuffield Health in The Brewery’s main building. This simple act of kindness can bring a smile to a child’s face during a challenging time.
This initiative is part of the Lennox CCF Go Gold campaign, which aims to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research and family support services. Go Gold stars and posters are available at The Brewery Centre to help spread the message. By joining the campaign, you can make a difference in the lives of children and their families. Every donation, letter or drawing offers hope and comfort. Visit The Brewery by Monday 30th September to take part in this powerful gesture and let your words bring strength to those who need it most.
