It promises to be a fantastic evening, with exclusive offers available throughout the night to help raise funds for The Brain Tumour Research Charity, in remembrance of Jason Tribe. Offers will include £5 crazy golf, 50% off pizza and activities, £4 Fosters, £5 Guinness, and 2-for-1 on spirits.

Raynor’s Reason for fundraising:

My name is Raynor Clarke and I have my partner Gary and my children and grandchildren who I adore. I am in no sense of the word a runner but I have been inspired by my son who has now ran two marathons and I am incredibly proud of him for doing so. I have also been inspired to do this by a horrible event that hit our family very hard.

In December 2020 our dear friend of 20 plus years, Jason Tribe 52, was diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma brain tumour. We watched our strong, funny, kind caring friend taken over by this awful disease. He sadly lost his battle against this illness on 26th June 2022, we were by his side along with his family. He left behind his wife Kristie Tribe and his two sons Owen and Nicholas along with all his loving family. We have watched the devastating effects this illness has on those diagnosed with brain tumours, along with the effects it has on the people that are left behind.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002. It is because of this I am running the London marathon for the brain tumour research charity. Any money goes directly to their research to help find a cure for this disease.

This is why I am asking for your support on my marathon journey. Please give anything you can to help me raise money for this wonderful charity
