This year’s awards highlight the diverse talents and achievements of our tenants, whose dedication continues to make Brewery Romford a vibrant and welcoming destination for all.

Best Recycling

Winner: The Entertainer

The Entertainer toy store has earned the Best Recycling Award for its commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. From thoughtful recycling initiatives to educating staff on reducing waste, The Entertainer demonstrates a strong dedication to environmental responsibility, setting a great example within the Brewery Romford community.

Best ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)

Winner: Turtle Bay

Turtle Bay has earned the Best ESG Award for its commitment to sustainable and socially responsible practices. From ethical sourcing and energy-saving measures to community support, Turtle Bay leads by example. Notable efforts include raising £450 for St. Francis Hospice, using renewable energy, LED lighting, and offsetting carbon emissions from printed menus. Additionally, they prioritize waste reduction with recycling programs, reusing cooking oil, and using bio-hygiene products, demonstrating a strong commitment to both the planet and their community.

Best Customer Service

Winner: Turtle Bay

Along with their ESG recognition, Turtle Bay also wins Best Customer Service for its exceptional hospitality. The staff consistently go the extra mile to create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience, earning rave reviews. A customer shared, “The food was 10/10, and the service was great! Natasha was so helpful, and Jaeden was quick to take our order, with no waiting time at all.”

Standout Manager

Winner: Ben Fitch

Ben Fitch has been named Standout Manager for his leadership and dedication to improving Brewery Romford’s largest on-site venue. Since joining in Spring 2024, Ben has worked closely with centre management to strengthen relationships, improve operations, and foster a positive work environment for his team. His contributions have had a lasting impact on both staff and customers.

Standout Store

Winner: The Range

The Range has earned the Standout Store Award for its significant progress over the past year. Led by store manager Sam and key team members like Sheila, The Range has become a favourite shopping destination at Brewery Romford. Their commitment to a diverse product selection and exceptional store presentation ensures a high-quality shopping experience for all customers.

Best Individual Service

Winner: Jo Brooks

Jo Brooks is the recipient of the Best Individual Service Award for her dedication to providing outstanding customer support. With over 30 years of experience at McDonald’s, Jo’s warmth, positivity, and willingness to go above and beyond have made her a beloved figure at Brewery Romford. Her team and customers praise her for being supportive, hardworking, and always willing to lend a hand, no matter the situation.

Best Marketing

Winner: Frankie & Benny’s

Frankie & Benny’s has been honoured with the Best Marketing Award for its innovative and engaging campaigns. Their proactive approach includes hosting influencers, participating in Brewery competitions, and creating fun in-centre advertising. Their creative efforts have elevated the Brewery Romford experience and set a new standard for how marketing can engage the local community.

Best Family Venue

Winner: Namco Funscape

Namco Funscape has won the Best Family Venue Award for offering a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for visitors of all ages. Recent refurbishments, including bumper cars and augmented darts, alongside a new party room, have enhanced the venue’s appeal. A community member shared, “Namco is great for families at any age – I love bringing my grandkids to enjoy all the games!”

Community Contribution

Winner: My Local Bobby

The Community Contribution Award goes to My Local Bobby for their unwavering commitment to safety and well-being in the Brewery Romford community. Officers Chris and Kahn work closely with Brewery Security and on-site tenants to reduce theft and create a secure, welcoming environment for everyone. Their dedication to community safety plays a vital role in ensuring the Brewery remains a place where all can feel at ease.
