Brewery Romford – Spring & Summer Awards

It’s time to celebrate the fantastic businesses and people who help make Brewery Shopping Centre such a great place to visit. From sustainability and customer service to community spirit and outstanding teamwork, these winners have all gone above and beyond.

Best Recycling: TK Maxx

Congratulations to TK Maxx, our Best Recycling winner. As one of the centre’s biggest waste producers, the team continues to lead by example, making sure recycling is carried out correctly every day. Working closely with Cleaning Manager Evaldo, they communicate well, quickly resolve any recycling issues and have built a great team approach to reducing waste. A fantastic commitment to keeping Brewery Shopping Centre greener.

Best ESG: McDonald’s

This year’s Best ESG award goes to McDonald’s. The team has shown great commitment to supporting both the environment and the local community. They have raised money throughout the year for Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, including an impressive £295 at one Brewery event, while also maintaining excellent recycling standards within the restaurant. Well done to the whole team for making a real difference.

Standout Restaurant: COSMO

This year’s Standout Restaurant award goes to COSMO. The team continues to deliver an excellent dining experience through outstanding customer service, great food and consistently high standards. Investment in new high-tech kitchen equipment and exciting menu updates has further enhanced the quality and consistency of every meal. With fantastic customer feedback and exceptional mystery diner results, this is a well-deserved award for the whole team.

Best Customer Service: Wagamama

The Best Customer Service award goes to Wagamama. As the restaurant has become busier, the team has continued to provide a warm welcome and excellent service every day. Their experienced staff support and train new team members, helping maintain consistently high standards. The result is excellent customer feedback, loyal returning guests and a reputation for consistently great service.

Standout Retailer: Hays Travel

Congratulations to Hays Travel for winning Standout Retailer. The team consistently delivers excellent customer service while playing an active part in the Brewery community. From organising Easter competitions to collecting donations for local charities and getting involved in centre events, they always go the extra mile. Their experienced team works brilliantly together and is always ready to help customers plan their perfect holiday.

Standout Independent: Brewery Flowers

Congratulations to Brewery Flowers, our Standout Independent winner. Known for their friendly service and beautiful fresh flowers sourced directly from Holland, the team creates stunning arrangements for every occasion, from birthdays and weddings to celebrations and remembrance flowers. Their passion, knowledge and personal service have earned them loyal customers from both Romford and beyond.

Standout Team Member: Samantha Milnes, Kidspace

Congratulations to Samantha Milnes from Kidspace. To celebrate Kidspace’s 20th anniversary, Samantha donated 20 inches of her hair to The Little Princess Trust, helping provide wigs for children who have lost their hair through illness.

Alongside this inspiring act of kindness, Samantha is known for always being positive, welcoming families with a smile and supporting colleagues wherever needed. A truly deserving winner.

Standout Manager: Nigel Bett, Namco Funscape

Our final award goes to Nigel Bett, General Manager at Namco Funscape. Nigel has managed the business for over 10 years and has built a positive, supportive workplace with many long-serving team members. He’s always happy to get involved with Brewery events and encourages his team to bring new ideas to life, whether that’s through creative displays, social media or the latest games. His enthusiasm, leadership and support for both his team and the shopping centre make him a very worthy winner of this year’s Standout Manager Award.
