It’s All About Staycations!

Many of us have sadly had to cancel our summer holidays, as a result of the worldwide pandemic.  If you’re currently reconsidering your July and August plans, how about a day trip to some of the UK’s beauty spots? Or for at-home relaxation, here’s our guide on how to re-create the holiday atmosphere at home this summer.

Are you Summer ready?

Whilst the run up to a holiday is usually filled with excitement, panic summer clothes buying and a quick dash to get pampered at the beauty parlour, you can still create those same endorphins but without the stress!

In need of a new summer wardrobe? The likes of TKMaxx, Gap Outlet and Next Outlet are now stocked with stylish summer must-haves, at sizzling sale prices to grab a bargain.  With the beauty salons open again, book yourself into VIP Nails, or head to Boots and grab yourself a DIY home manicure and pedicure kit. And don’t forget the all-important sunscreen for when the sun (eventually) comes out!

Fun in The Sun!

With home schooling finally finishing for the summer, how can you keep the kids entertained? Why not create your very own holiday kids’ club in your own back garden?

Try out some new garden games such as swing ball and skittles from The Entertainer and Smyths.  Head to Argos and make a splash with the purchase of an inflatable swimming pool or how about a bouncy castle and some new garden furniture for you to just sit back and watch? And should the British weather fail us, Hobbycraft will have all your essentials for an arts and crafts home workshop indoors.

Whet your appetite!

If you’re missing that brimming with food buffet and want to break free from the kitchen, it’s time to put a holiday spin on your cuisine. Choose a different take away each night, design your own summer menu, or perhaps your palate fancies a beach picnic or BBQ? With themed tableware and a wide range of accessories to compliment your feast, you’ll find some great ideas from Argos and Sainsbury’s.

So you CAN make the most of holidaying at home. Whether it’s a picnic party or a playground in your own glorious garden.  You’ll find all your staycation essentials at the Brewery.
