Romford BID #workingtogether with Havering Council
Romford BID are delighted to be #workingtogether with Havering Council to deliver beautiful planters in South Street and Victoria Road.
As Government restrictions begin to ease, and we see more people coming into the town, we hope these floral tributes will bring some colour and cheer to welcome people back.
Councillor Osman Dervish, Havering’s Cabinet Member for Environment, said:
“We are pleased to be working with Romford BID and all our partners in the community, to put these planters in place.
They will help to add brightness and colour to the look of the town centre and will also help to improve air quality in these areas.
We very much hope that, once restrictions are eased further, we are able to welcome back fully, residents and visitors shopping in our borough. The planters will provide a real lift and will be enjoyed by all.“
Julie Frost BID Director said, “This is the first of the floral contributions we are planning to bring to Romford this year and it’s great to be working with Havering Council on this joint venture. We are working with the team at Windowflowers Limited who will also be installing the hanging baskets in a few months along with another surprise we have planned.
We hope these displays will welcome people back as we come out of #lockdown.
